What we believe about...

The Bible

We believe that the entire bible is inspired by God, written without error, showing us the way to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that the bible is Jesus in Word form, giving us the power to live a righteous life. It is useful for showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, and training us to live God’s way. We believe it; we live it and we stand on it.

God

We believe there is only one God; he is eternal, sovereign, holy and perfect. He is the creator of all things, ruler of the universe. We believe God is omnipresent and his spirit lives in Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and every believer.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the only begotten son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit in the womb of a virgin named Mary. He came as the savior who delivered the world from sin. He was betrayed, crucified, buried, and after three days was resurrected by the power of God. Jesus ushered in the new covenant of Grace and brought reconciliation to God for all men. After his resurrection, he appeared to his followers for 40 days then ascended into heaven. He is now seated at the right hand of God performing the duties of Advocate and High Priest for all who believe.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by God after Jesus ascended, to be a comforter, helper, and teacher to the believer. To convict men of sin, restore the believing sinner, indwell, guide and empower the believer for Godly living and service. The Holy Spirit gives every believer the opportunity to feel the presence of Jesus in our lives today.

The Trinity

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Salvation

We believe that the law of God reveals to us our sinful nature and shows us where we stand with God. Through the power of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are cleansed of all our sins. Rescuing us from the law of sin and death, Jesus blood allows us to have an eternal relationship with our Heavenly Father. We believe that salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned through works. This precious gift is only given by placing our faith in what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.

The Rapture

We believe that when the rapture takes place the dead in Christ shall rise first and then those who are alive and remain (those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior) will be caught up to meet with them in the air and it is there that we will forever be with the Lord.

Eternal Life

We believe that at God’s appointed time we will be judged by Him on Judgment day. Those who accepted Jesus Christ and followed his commands will inherit the kingdom of Heaven. Unfortunately, those who rejected God’s son Jesus and rebelled against His teachings will spend eternity in Hell.

Baptism

We believe water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Water immersion symbolizes how we have died to sin and rose to a new life in Christ. Baptism is an outward demonstration of an inward commitment as a testimony of our faith in Jesus.

Communion

We believe the Lord’s Supper is an act of remembering Jesus’ body that was broken and His blood that was shed. It is a ceremony that is special for the believer. Communion is held in a sacred manner in which those who only believe in Jesus Christ should participate.

The Church

We believe the church is not just the building in which we worship, but it also dwells inside the heart of every believer. We believe that God has given us all spiritual gifts. We understand that we are all obligated as his children to bring those gifts together to help build up the body of Christ for the edification of God.

Growing in our Relationship with God

We believe we should grow in our personal relationship with God by dying daily to sin. We consistently renew our minds by the Word of God. We faithfully gather together in the assembly of believers. We endeavor to become more like Christ every day through the studying of the whole Bible while building faith in our Heavenly Father.
